During late college, I spent two summers interning for Liberty Mutual in Portsmouth, NH. I worked as a cybersecurity intern, on the identity and access management team one summer and the vulnerability management team the next. I learned about the complexities of patching and cybersecurity at scale for a large company, and realized different companies can have wildly varying internal systems.
I joined the company full time afterwards, and have spent over five years working as a software developer and a data engineer. I utilized AWS for creating and maintaining ETL pipelines for big data used by actuaries to generate policies for the company, worked on observability and uptime monitoring for the system where customers can request quotes for personal insurance, and worked on creating an internal AI copilot leveraging OpenAI for analyzing risk factors of potential customer companies using their publicly available data.
